I'm back from Louisville, Kentucky, where my hotel was at the very corner where the Trappist monk and prolific writer Thomas Merton was seized by a spiritual revelation, filling him with a profound love for every human being, as well as a sense of the vital importance of love and care for all people. There was an angry homeless guy leaning against the sign for support, yelling unintelligible things unrelated to Thomas Merton, but probably concerning issues of social justice. I would have stayed longer, but there's no stopping.

Glad you're back from Kentucky. I was at your show at the Ontario Improv on Saturday night. I took my son, the Marine, and he totally laughed his butt off. Thanks for recognizing him! I enjoyed your show. I laughed my ass off too. Thanks!

Mr. Wilson,
I would be interested to see if you had any sort of revelation that you "loved all those people, that they were mine and I theirs, that we could not be alien to one another even though we were total strangers?"
Merton has been a great influence upon me, and I am glad to see that he is still being used by God to work in the world.
